Project background information
These wastewater come from production of high purity chemical substances including aniline, cyclohexamine, dicyclohexamine, diethyloxalate and other specific amines. WWTP treats 4 different types of wastewater – organic contaminated wastewater, acid wastewater, cleaning water and rainwaters and finally sewage wastewater. These types of water are characterized by high level of nitrogen in different forms especially in ammonia, nitrites and organic form. Process of purifying consists primarily of 2 types. That is a combination of biological processes and chemical oxidation by ozone which breaks resistant compounds.
* It was assumed that the inlet concentration of TSS would be less than the legislation requirements. That is why removal efficiency of TSS was 0 %.
** The N-NH4 concentration was not included in the project design. For purposes of this study it was calculated on the basis of the real ratio Ntot : N-NH4 in wastewater.
