Meat processing and waste water treatment - example of a treatment plant 2
Works on the intensification and completion of a wastewater treatment plant for our customer have just begun in recent days. Factory is one of the most important producers of ham and meat specialties on the Czech market. Necessary changes in the wastewater treatment process occurred due to the demand to increase the capacity of the wastewater treatment plant, but also due to stricter requirements for effluent, especially in the nitrogen parameters. The new WWTP will include a flotation unit which will be removing part of the pollution using physical process. Next step will be biological treatment which treats the rest of organic pollution and the majority of nitrogen pollution in a two-stage denitrification-nitrification configuration. In addition, sand filtration is included in the treatment line for water purification to the BAT (Best Available Technology) standards.
