Pilot tests end in the textile industry
After several weeks of pre-treatment pilot tests of wastewater from the textile industry on Dissolved Air Flotation unit (DAF), we ended the testing with positive conclusions. During the tests it was proved that organic pollution in the form of COD can be reduced by more than 70 %. Moreover, all other monitored parameters (colour, suspended solids, FOG, etc.) were below the sewer limits after pre-treatment. Really interesting fact is that the sludge generated during flotation process can be mechanically dewatered to the level of 30 to 45%, which can lead to savings in disposal of the sludge.
